Less Than 7k Miles And Already Makin Noises

MY 06 siverado has less than 7000 on the dash and im already hearin and feelin things i dont like. The first problem is a real light hum comin from under the truck possibly somewhere near the middle or the back.its almost like the beginnings if a bad pinion bearing or some bearing in the transfer case. its not very loud but its there and it bothers me, i have a warranty but its so faint i think the dealer will prolly tell me theres nothing wrong and send me on my way which will anger me even more. the second issue is a slight rattle thru the wheel when goin up or down an on ramp and hittin any bumps ,almost like the steering knuckle is loose. the third issue is when u cruise at about 70-75 mph and let off the throttle when u get back on it to gain a little speed it has a slight vibe. thru the pedal. it only happens with real light pedal application like 1/8 -1/4 throttle. this seems to be either a driveline vibe. or maybe a real small misfire at such a low rpm. i previously posted a topic questioning whether my truck has (afm) and maybe at that highway speed and almost no throttle it is runnin on 4 cyls. and when i try to accelerate lightly it is a little hesitant. if i floor it at 70 there is no hesitation and it takes right off. none of these problems are anywhere near major but with so little miles it bothers the death outta me . If anyone else has experienced anything like these issues please let me know and let me know what the outcome if any was. id rather walk into the dealer and have an almost certain solution to these issues cause i dont really trust there diagnostic abilities and they always try to tell u theres nothin wrong until it actually breaks.

First:

I'm not saying these aren't really there, but unless you can get some more definitive symptoms to go to the dealer with this could be a tough one.

Second:

I've never had a new vehicle of any make or model that didn't develop a few "character flaws" over time. Vehicles are complex and made of so many parts that it is bound to happen... and YES, some of these issues were quite annoying! You can drive yourself (and your dealer) totally nuts if you let this stuff under your skin.

Third:

Make good notes of the issues that you describe and take the truck in the next time you need servicing, and let them have a shot. Many times, what we think are small issues are actually something a tech has seen before and knows how to fix. Don't be too disappointed if you get a "Unable to duplicate" on some of them. The tech is only human. You said yourself that they were subtle. At least you have it on record that you brought it in for them. That way, IF one of your issues becomes a larger issue in the future, you are somewhat covered.

Too bad nothing is perfect... but nothing is.

Good luck man.

yeah i feel yah on that one man, thanx for the advice. 2 of the concerns are minimal but the hum i know could def. turn into somethin bigger down the road. i dont wanna either be stuck on the road one day cause a bearing seized up and i also dont want a driveline inneficiency that could be costin me 2-3 mpg. u seem like a knowledgable dude so im sure u know just as well as i do that driveline problems cost you rear wheel hp. and mpg. cause the truck has to work harder to do the same thing that a truck with a totally perfect drivetrain does.the harder the work the more fuel it sux doin it.Im def. gonna take it and like u said have it noted so that if and when it does fail im def. covered. thanx again buddy. bye the way thats a wicked pic u got there lol.

Good advice from zembones. He knows the dealers and how they work pretty well. I take it you work for one?

I've been in the "car business" for nearly 30 years... involved in the setup and implementation of body shops, performance shops, customizing shops, dealerships, and parts distributors. Most, I'd help build and set up, then work until the bugs were worked out and the staff trained.... then on to the next project! I've even had time to do a few restorations and build a few race cars over the years. These days computers and the web design stuff consume my days along with a "career" of purchasing vehicles for a couple of dealers.

This doesn't make me an expert for sure... but I have seen a lot of sides of the business... AND I am an avid car and truck nut.
