Drove By The Local Toyota Dealership Today...

They had a long line of Tundras in the front, but in the back they were plowing the lot with a GMT-900 Silverado. I found that a little ironic... Are the Tundras really that bad when it comes to truck-like performance?? :flag::)

I know this thread is mostly in good, clean fun...

But I went back to my GMC dealership a few weeks ago and they were using my old F250 to do "chores" around their lot. Does that mean that GMC isn't as good as Ford? :)

I drove by the Local Toyota Dealership last night... rolled down my windows as I passed a few sales folks out with a few perspective buyers.. shouted out "OH WHAT A FEELING! CRAPOTA :flag::):P !"

I could see them using an older chevy, buta new one? Was it the dealers truck or might it have been someone contracted for snow removal?

Even if it was contracted work, which is likely, hiring a contractor that uses a direct competitors truck is a poor business decision on that dealers part. It just looks bad. Perception is reality sometimes.

Was it a HD truck (2500 or 3500) ? The least they could have done is hire a contractor with an older or at least a "completely different" truck (like maybe an older F250 or something?), since plow contractors with Tundra's are probably non-existant.

Yeah, sorry, that is rather uncool man. You know if some guy in a Toyota did that to you while you were shopping for you a GM, you would probably just think that guy in the Toyota is a loser. Or that the driver feels he must do that so he somehow feels better about hiself and his particular choice of vehicle. Nothin' personal of course, but I just like to think that at least the GM folks on this forum are better than that. :dunno:

I agree, what you should have done instead is pull into the lot and park next to the Tundra he was looking at, got out, opened your tailgate and jumped up and down on it at the top edge. Then ask the dealer if you can do the same to the Yota.

or better yet, pulled in next to the Tundra and then start changing the oil and asking if theirs is this easy/fast :P

And to think a few months ago I was minutes away from signing the dotted line for a Tundra Crewmax Limited! I am so glad I didn't!
