I had my 08 LT1 for 4 days now and just found an extra storage space in the front seat, its under the center arm rest that folds back. The latch is in front of the center seat and is really a big storage area. Thought it was pretty cool and thought I would share as I didnt know it was there. lolol

I tried my plug the other day, and it didnt work. Guess i will have to get the dealer to check it out too.

That storage area was a pleasant surprise when I purchased my truck. The 12 volt source, and slot to allow you to run a cable out of that compartment awesome as well. You can lock that compartment with your ignition key, so I feel better about leaving my phone in my truck when I have to.

hmmm, gotta 2007 NBS with front captains chairs and the full length console.... that what you are talking about?.... never noticed the "slot" or the locakable feature with the key.... :fume:

If it wasn't for the 12 inches of snow, I'd go out there and check it out.... did I miss something? :shakehead:

IF you have the console, this does not apply to you. This storage center is beneath the middle seat on most trucks without the center console.

Does any one know the part number for the lockable seat to replace my center seat?

If you have the ebony interior I will give you my VIN and you can send it in to GMPD and they'll give you the correct number for it. If you have another color, you'll need to get a VIN from a truck with that color interior and send that in instead.

Well, this isnt anything against you, i wouldnt have been looking for a storage space there if i hadnt been told it was there when i bought it. But does nobodys dealer go over the features of their truck with them? Do they just take the check, hand over the keys, and say cya? My dealer saw what i drove and made a point of taking a few minutes of going over every added feature, which was pretty much everything coming from a 94 jimmy.

My dealer went over everything on my truck. Almost to the extent of " ok come on I need to go." And he did this at 7 at night. I figured he would be ready to go home and just leave me with it. He also took everything out of my old toolbox and put it in the bed of the new truck while I was signing the papers. He scored high in my book. :shakehead:

I asked them not to show me around my truck and to just give me the keys and let me roll out. When I buy, I've done my research already and just want to go and drive the beast. I was the same way with the G35X, I knew what I was buying and was not about waiting around. What's the point in chatting about airbags, seatbelts and cubby holes? Let's hit the streets!

My sales guy was like that too, by the time I had finished signing papers and walking out the new truck already had the plate transfered and the other dealer's decals were removed by their body shop. They had put a little decal of their own on but it came off easily. Good part is that he recently transfered to a GMC dealership so I MAY get a Sierra Denali in the future, if I don't get a Duramax first.
