Magnaflow Muffler For Nnbs Replacement

Recommended Posts

I am looking at just replacing the muffler on my 07 NNBS sierra cc with 5.3L. I can get a 14329 magnaflow muffler cheap. Has anyone used a 4x9, 14" long body muffler on a NNBS. If so how does it sound and is it loud inside cruising or in 4 cylinder mode.

Or does anyone have a suggestion on with one to use. My original plan was to get a longer magnaflow so I didn't have to add pieces of piping to make it the right length. So all I had to do is flare the stock pipe to 3" and clamp on the muffler. But I know that muffler would be quite. Unless someone did this and could say different.

Please help me out. Thanks.

ok been looking around and found what I think I need. It is the 12289 magnaflow muffler with is the 24" body, 30" total length with 5x8 body satin ss finish. I should be able to just cut the muffler right at the inlet and output as close to the muffler as I can. Than expand the stock tube to 3" OD and bolt the muffler right up. Anyone use this muffler and how do you like it?
