Honda has dominated the sport for a while now. They have dedicated a lot of time and effort to it and made one hell of an engine program. My hat is off to them! Nobody else seems to be willing.

 

Have you seen the Honda outboard motors? Pretty darn sweet!

Now that CHAMP car is back in the IRL there should be more engine manufacturers. I don't know if it was indy or F1 but the amount of money spent by Honda and Toyota drove GM out of the sport. In a few years the same thing will happen in cup; Toyota may have pulled out and concentrated on NASCAR.

Yeah. You gotta give that the Japs, their trucks suck, but they've pretty much cornered the high mpg beater market. Though GM's Aveo, Wave, Cobalt seem like reliable economic ones too.

Tony George saw to that. Greed killed interest in the Indy cars when they split the sheets and became 2 series. Up until then it was a great series. NASCAR is headed down the same road. All of the high dollar multicar overly commercialized teams have ruined the series.

Yeah... don't get me wrong. I love racing in all forms. It's a shame.
