i installed this about a week ago. i can't seem to figure out the programming.

 

i press the 2 outside buttons, then press the learn button on the door opener, then hold the button i want programmed for about 20 seconds and nothing happens.

 

am i doing something wrong? the programming on my camaro and SRX are the exact same way and they work no problem.

FWIW, it helped me. I installed a Homelink panel in my 07 that I purchased off fleabay and have never been able to get it to work with my gate opener. After programming per your instructions, it now works great ... Thanks!

I just did this to my 2011 Silverado. I got the part from Schram. The only overhead console with Homelink that they had also had the two switches for the sunroof, which I don't have. So I have two impotent switches, ha ha. The cost was only $70.00, and to my eyes the console looks brand new. The install took less than 30 mins. Works Great

I've been doing a lot of checking on this. at my dealership today they gave me a part number for a truck with a vin number that had the light and dark titaium interior. The part number is 25977608. if you need a VIN you can use 3GTP2WE34BG139545. I priced it at dealership for $325. Found it on GMPARTSDIRECT.com for $183 plus $46 for shipping. hope this works. please post and let the rest of us know

I actually saw a new Silverado on the dealers lot today with a Crew Cab, rear sliding power window and the universal home remote. I had spoken to the parts counter guy before walking around the lot while my oil was being changed. Anyway, I snapped a photo of the VIN and took it back inside to the parts guy and the part number he gave me was 22780471. This is for the console only. You still have to buy the switch. The dealer price is $213 for just the console and $142 for the transmitter.

 

GM Parts Direct is $125 for the console and whatever their ridiculous shipping and handling fee is. Still cheaper than the GM Stealer!

 

I am going to go ahead and order the console, probably after Christmas though, and see if works. If it looks right, then I will order the transmitter.

 

Here is a link to the window sticker of the vehicle I saw today... You can see it has the "Convenience Package" and sliding rear window.

I know this is an old post, but I just discovered this great write-up it and had to have the UHR. Received my console yesterday and installed it after work today. Literally 15 minutes and the garage door was closing. Fastest and easiest mod I have ever made to any vehicle. I was a little nervous pulling on those front clips, but I didn't break anything. I have a rolling code opener. Piece of cake.

Ok, I finally got around to buying the overhead console with UHR (garage door opener) for my 2011 gmc sierra with sliding rear window, and no sun roof. I got the part number (25977608) from GMC dealer and went to local Chevy dealer and ordered the part. it listed for $312, i told the parts man how much looking and researching had been done and he let me have it at jobber price $195, no shipping just local sales tax. The old one came out easy, only had to take the passenger seat belt light off the old and snap it into the new one and plug the whole unit in and programed it according to the owners book. everything works fine.

Can you post a pick of the installed part? Did it come with the transmitter for that price?

^^^^Did you happen to look at the pics on the first page? That pretty much looks like all the units. The unit I have, that I got from Schram Auto parts has sunroof switches (I have no sun roof) but the console only me $70.00 as explained in my post above.

I think this thread will probably go on forever. Thank you for the post. I just installed a new overhead console with the universal remote on my '09 Avalanche with the help of your post. There is just one difference in the installation for GM 2009-2012. You just need to pop out the light cover unscrew the two screws and pull down. It took me about 15 minutes. The only reason it took so long is because the passenger airbag connector was hard for me to pull loose. Also I bought the console on ebay because I coudl actually see a pic of the console. Calling the dealership and gmpartsdirect no one knew the correct part number for my truck. The part number is 25819656.

trying to find the part number for no sun roof, no rear window, but I have the cab light switch for plow package...no luck anyone have this information
