Ford,gm Or Dodge

i know this is a gm trucks board i'm just wondering which you'd suggest and why. i'm looking for my next truck, it will be a daily driver with summer towing duties. i currently have an 06 avalanche 2wd and am not too pleased with it, especially on the interior, i've had fords in the past just wondering if i should stick to the bowtie or look else where

Look elsewhere...GM trucks bite. If I had it to do all over again, I would get a bicycle The gas is cheaper

No offense, but are you really serious with this question? Ask in a Ford forum, people will say Fords, ask in a GM forum, they will say GM products all the way. Your post makes little sense

If you care at all about fuel economy then stay the hell away from Ford and Dodge!

Agreed, what don't you like about the interior of the Avalanche and what are you towing. I have an 04 Silvy with the same interior and I love it. Roomy, comfortable, looks good. If you are looking for a nicer truck then go with a new truck, GM or Ford. I love my parents 07 Avalanche, its so quiet, fancy, and still has a sack to pull something with, plus we get 20.1 mpg highway. The Ford was nice on the inside and got so-so gas mileage (about 16 mpg hwy), but I didn't get to pull anything with it. I personally didn't like it compared to my 98 Silvy, I thought my 98 had more power while climbing hills. Dodge I would stay away from just due to my dislike of the ride and the boxy feel and the fact that the gas mileage sucks unless you get a diesel.

Do you think people who buy Dodge are not paying for that $2.99 gas offer. Either offered interest rates would would be up slightly to cover the offer or they won't go quite as low on the truck. The only people who can probably have the best chance of taking advantage of that offer is those who pay 100% for the truck with a check.

thanks for the posts, as far as my 06 goes there is alot of things onthe interior that are coming apart, headliner issues, door panels, dash problems, i've been to several dealers and they all say its normal, but anyways i've driven the dodge megas and the new gms, i like both, i don't think i'd go back to ford, they have a nice truck inside but gutless pig, so my next question is what is the max trailer tow rating of the new vmax crew cabs?

I recently bought a '08 CrewCab Sierra 5.3L. Ended up looking long and hard at the Toyota and the GMC/Chevrolet. To be honest, after just a little bit of looking, Dodge and Ford were crossed off the list. I won't bore you with the details of my own decisions, since the truck had to meet all of MY wants and needs... not someone elses. Same for you, since the truck has to meet your prefs. My experience has been excellent with the GMC. All of the interior shortcomings on the '99 to '06 models (my previous truck was a 99 Sierra Ext Cab) were addressed in '07 (headliner design, rattles, etc.). I'm not just saying that I really like the truck 'cause I already own it... I really like the truck compared to any vehicle I've ever owned (including Toyota, Honda, Ford, GMC and Dodge).

The tow rating is a massive 10,500 lbs, but I would recommend that if you are or will be towing anywhere near that on a regular basis to look at a 2500
