omegafiler Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Which exhaust system are you talking about? A stock caddy has neither... it has a stock exhaust, just like all stock vehicles.
dannyg2006 Posted May 25, 2008 Author Posted May 25, 2008 Really? I was told by a Cadidy parts man different. A friend of mine has one that is stock and it sounds great. I guess if they are the same then the only difference is the 6.2 under the hood.

But the 6.2's do sound really good with the stock exhaust system though. In fact, .

Bostonsfavson Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 The stock Denali/Escalade exhaust with the 6.2 does sound fantastic. One of the best stock systems on a truck I've ever heard.
jimbrown1 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 A dealer of GM accessory parts told me to drive the new Escalade as it sounds a little louder than the GMPP Performance Exhaust.
obxdiver Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I can tell you the the Sierra Denali AWD with the 6.2L has an awesome sounding stock exhaust. It is 3.5" in and out of the muffler. I know, I have one. I have absolutely no need to put an aftermarket system on her. My buddy has a '08 Z06, and he heard mine one day when I took off from his driveway with him behind the truck. I pushed the pedal 1/2 down. He later told me that that exhaust sounded almost loud enough to get u pulled over!! He said it rocks, and sound close to his Z06.
leverlution Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I have said the same thing about the 6.2 Escalades and Yukon's since they came out. Haven't driven a 6.2 Silverado/Sierra yet, but I really don't wanna. Don't want to be tempted to trade in my 2010 5.3 :-D DannyG, don't wish too hard for a 6.0. 6.2 maybe, but I had a 6.0 GMT800. Wasn't happy at all. Gas mileage was a flat out joke/non existent, and the torque management in the computer made it more sluggish than my current 5.3. The exhaust sounded pretty nice though. After 7,000mi I am MUCH happier with the 5.3 than the 6.0. I don't tow though, so that might be the difference, but without a tune, I don't see just the motor making a difference.
