Hi, i want to level my truck.. but I would like to get the same drive quality I have right now.

I like both, but I think it would be better installing Rancho. But, I do not want the adjustment that rancho offer. I think it work, without it very well (OEM)..

Other way, is, I believe Rough Country one, get higher in the front... than Rancho..

Rancho Front lift is perfect. You get the rear higher but not too much..

I'm not comparing prices... I want the best to my truck.

What do you choose?

thank you (excuse my bad english.. I'm not English Spoken)??

I have the rough country leveling kit. 2" kit. I love it and was very easy to install. It rides just like stock.

****Bilstein 5100*****

Not only will they level the front of your truck but they'll make the already soft factory ride softer! Alaska has it installed and I'm going to as well. Don't use spacers.

End of story.

The Bilstein 5100 series shock has an adjustable height spring perch. You can adjust in 1/2" increments from stock up to 2 1/2" lift. Bilstein has always proven to me to make better products than most other companies. I just ordered mine last week. I've never been sorry to have installed Bilsteins in any vehicle.

The Bilstein 5100 shocks for the front of a 07-08 1500 GMT900 run around a $100 a piece, depending on where you buy them. I'm still waiting on mine from 4Wheel Parts that I ordered last week.

I went with the rough country that goes under the strut. Takes maybe 40 minutes to install and really easy. And make sure you get it aligned but I would give it a few days before getting it aligned to put a few miles on it and let everything settle if its going to settle, incase of aligning it right after its put on then it settles then it will be out of align again and it should be fine to drive it for a few days. I put nearly 300 miles on mine before having mine aligned. And when I had it done it was way off but it drove fine, handled good, kinda fooled me but my step dad done the daystar on his (goes on top of strut) and it was out of align worse than mine and its twice the price as the rough country. And the ride is just like stock. Oh i used all 3 blocks on mine for the full lift and in a flat parking lot about 50' away it looks like the front sits higher than the rear.

I say go with the RC kit. The ease of installation as well as the price make it worth it IMO. You will also maintain your factory ride quality. No doubt the Rancho and Bilstein leveling struts will be superior in ride quality, but will also come with a larger price tag and a much more involved install. Good luck with whatever you choose and post some pics.

I just drove home from about 60 miles away to have my Blackbear tuned PCM/TCMs installed (but that's another story). During the ride home, it convinced me that the factory front shocks are not up to the job. The 91 freeway from Riverside, CA back toward the beach cities has a typical concrete poured surface. Driving my 3 week old truck in the fast lane above 65 would result in front tire hop so bad that the truck sounded like it was coming unglued. I could hear the tire violently slapping the road surface as it returned to earth. I've driven this road many times in my old truck and other vehicles and it's never been a problem. I'm really glad I ordered the Bilstein 5100s. I hope they arrive soon. I need them. I just can't decide on what ride height to set.

Did you get the shocks yet? What part number are those? The shocks that I think are the right ones, but they don't look like it in the picture.

4Wheel Parts said Bilstein USA is backordered for about 2 weeks due to too many GM Truck.com members ordering them for the GMT900. :D

Sweet. I wonder if anybody has checked offroadwarehouse.com for inventory. Yeah, I'm getting these.
