Took advantage of the 0% for 72 months. Walked out the door with 08 Sierra 1500 Crew Cab SL with the 4.8 for 28k... 30 after extended warranty/gap. Wanted to get more off of it but they wouldn't budge after 2 hours and another dealership didn't offer any better. Will post pics later!

I think you should've gotten a better deal than that...I got my 07 LT1 Z71 4x4 for around 32k...

Well I could of got 6000 off msrp but it was either that or 0% and the 0% benefitted me more and I think thats why it was hard to get them to move on it. I got about 2,000 off the truck and about 1,300 more on the trade then what they orignally wanted

I picked mine (08 sliverado ext cab MSRP 29.4k) up on 2/29/08 under the presidents day special along with my GMS discount, for just under 22k, not including tax, title.

Theres a 07 leftover crew cab ls 4x4 4.8 at my local dealer for 21,990 + Taxes and tags so thats definately a sour deal.

I had one dealership offer me 6000 off plus an extra 2000 cause of my trade in but being hit with another 14% interest rate would of still made my payments more then what they are with the 0%. Posting pics after work!

Wow. What a profit margin for the dealer on this deal. And they made 75% on the ext warranty. Congrats on the new truck.

Yeah but we don't how his new truck is equipped,Is it 4-wheel drive? Does it have power locks,trailering pkg,cruise,chrome apperance pkg,...all things that push the price up.

We don't know what the MSRP is either.

I ran a locate for an '08 GMC 1500 Crew-Cab 4x4 4.8-V8 with the "SL" pkg. (2SA) I got anywhere from $31,790 to $34,210 for MSRP....and anywhere from $29,645 to $31,813 for dealer invoice.

$28k for the truck is pretty good.

I'll admit 2k for the extended warranty does sound like a "bit" much however.

From reading all the posts, it sounds like I got a great deal back in January. I got a 2008 Silverado ext. cab Z71 LT1 with the 5.3 for 28.8K (including TT&L). MSRP was 32.5K. I got pricing from about 5 dealers, and took the lowest to my local dealer and they matched it. Whole thing was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.

I think I could of got a chevy cheaper but I like the look of the gmc.

Its only 2wd, the 4x4 was a few grand more and living in Florida I really dont need it. Its the sl edition, power windows, mirrors , locks. Tint on the windows except for front for some reason.

Interior is two tone, black and gray. Not the cloth interior which I love because I dont have a lint problem anymore . The msrp was 29,310 and I got it down to 28 and got 1200 more on my trade then they wanted to give. I was looking at my tax and I was charged 1095 and at 6 pct it should of been around 1700.

Also got aquapeel treated windows, treated finish on the paint. The extended was 1516 which covers 6 years instead of 3 and the gap was the extra 500. Pics soon!
