Hypertech Max Energy

I recently purchased a hypertech max energy programmer for my 2002 silverado 1500 5.7L. I am looking for advice on programming parameters for A) increased MPG, B) Increased HP, C) towing.

 

Any help will be much appreciated as I am getting zero assistance from hypertech.

Did the Silverado still have the 5.7L in 2002? I thought they stopped putting the 5.7L in the Silverado in 1999.

you have a 5.3, not a 5.7.

The max energy did only one thing on my truck, decrease MPG, made it slam into gear and made it slightly faster and some nannies seemed to be taken away

OK guys, so I messed up on the 5.7 versus 5.3 typing, it was 4:00 am when i posted.

 

Now other that repremanding me for a mistake, can anyone actually help me?

you need to calm down there scooter. someone already has helped you in the second post. your answer has already been discussed on this board in the threads that he mentioned.........or would you rather be defensive and not read the answers yourself?. no one was "repremanding" you.......we just pointed out that you were mistaken by the engine you referenced for your truck no one is out to get you.

If you plan to change tires size and turn off the speed limiter ,it's fine ,other than that... GM has done it all !(best shifting ,best mpg ,etc...)

Custom tunes are much better suited to us people who want the best driveability, mileage, and power available. Stock tuning isn't the best. Stock, my truck shifts into 3rd too early.

That's why I love democracy ,everyone has an opnion...

I Have always liked GM programming ,shifts like a cadillac ,and last for ever if you take good care of it...If you want some race truck ,buy a RAM SRT v-10 ...it's perfect ,even manual shifiting is included...
