GM has extended their friends and family discount until 8-19-08 so if anyone needs a GM discount code to buy their new vehicle I can give it to one lucky person. If your serious and will use this discount code then email me with your zip code and date of birth and I'll get the discount code for you so you can save some money!!!

Got a question David...First off I don't need a code because of being a GM dealer employee,But...I was going to give a code to someone and it wouldn't let me,Can only "actual GM employees" give them out (IE Can I not give one out because I'm a dealer employee and not a plant worker, which I assume you are)

Actually if you are an employee of a supplier for GM you can as well

My wife works for a GM supplier and they made her sign the papers and put her name on the registration. Granted, this is Ford country, and they don't get many of these (I think this was the first one they had done, they were pretty confused).

Dealership employees are exactly that - Dealership employees, To be eligible for the GM discount you need to work for GM in one of the plants or testing facilities etc. I work at a pre-production/testing facility as a GM Engineering Technician.

Somewhat true, Yes you will get a discount but it will be a supplier/contract discount and not a full/true GM employee discount. Back when I was a contract employee with GM I was eligible for a discount but it wasn't as good as the GM employee discount so I ended up getting the GM employee code from my father in law.

The discount is different for each vehicle, some get bigger discounts than other models.

I have someone interested in the code so I'll let everyon know if it gets used or not.

I can give one also I work at GM Mansfield so let me know if anyone else needs it, email me if you want.

Not true in 2004-2005. I worked in a GMC dealership and purchased a car for my wife and a truck for myself. I received the FULL GM employees discount. And I had access to all invoices on evey vehicle we had, so I knew MSRP, suppliers discount, GMS discount, hold-back, even net-net cost.

That's good, but to the best of my knowledge dealership employees are not technically suppose to be eligible for the GM discount because they are dealership employees and not GM employees. If someone works at a GM dealership then one of the sales people should be able to "hook you up".

Now I don't know about the guys changing oil and the ones in clean-up, but all the sales people got the true gm employees discount for as long as I worked there. That includes all the managers in parts and service. We got the same as any 30 year factory employee that walked in the door. I know, I sold a bunch of them.

have a good one,

Don
