Hey GM truck fans. This is Snappydave- newbie. Just joined so I can get some helpful info on my '03 Denali AWD.I live in Michigan and love to snowmobile, and this is my replacement tow rig for my '96 BigBlock 4x4 'burb (which is 4 sale- hint).

I gotta put a brake controller in the Denali, and there just has to be a factory(or nice aftermarket) brake controller that into one of those cubby-holes in the dash without hacking the dash apart or mounting it below. Can anyone out there lend a hand on info?

Thanks, snap

Where in Mich. we are getting ready to move to the UP the 20th or so... what i would do is get a digital one and hide it under the dash. that's what i am going to do one of these days when i have the time to do it...

Hey there and welcome to GM-Trucks!

Does your Denali have the wiring harness for the brake controller already wired in? If so, you'd need to relocate the wiring harness for it as well. But there should be some place to mount, it will probable have to get a bit creative though.

Well, I went into my local Pontiac/GMC dealer (my bro-in-law,btw) and he set me up with a harness that plugs right into the aux. access panel located on the firewall by the left side kick panel. Its already wired in the truck,so, just plug in the harness and connect the controller, which needs to be located UNDER the dash as there is no factory in-dash controller available for the 99-06 "burb body.

(Is Tekonsha or GM Parts listening??) Thanks for the replies and welcome wagon greetings. snap

stumpy, come and get it- but, bring some cash!
