Squeaking Already?

So i just wanted some input on this... I bought my truck (08 GMC sierra SLE) in the end of June and have put alittle over 3,500 miles on it and my breaks already squeak....its pretty noticeable sometimes but it is intermitant....is this something i should bring up with the dealer? or is this a normal thing? Thanks guys

Do you have the rear drums? I seem to remember it being a common thing that the dealer would attempt to fix. Try using the search feature.

No brake squeaks here. I haven't heard any here others complaining of any either... Might wanna let the dealer look at it. Not normal.

Although annoying, brake squeal is usually nothing to worry about. Typically applying some anti-squeal paste on the back of the brake pads will cure the problem. Some manufacturers (e.g. Mercedes Benz) use metal shims between the caliper piston and the brake pad to eliminate the squeal.

Just got an 08 Sierra 1500 SLE crew cab and I am experiencing the same problem. I really dont hear the brakes, but I do hear the truck squeak when the back end drops when I come to a complete stop. I'd like to go to the dealer and see what's going on.
