Tire Pressure Monitor Question

Ok, here is a good one. Can the TPM on the DIC handle more than 4 sensors?

 

I have an RV and a boat trailer I pull, and would like to be able to monitor those tires as well. Could it be done by buying sensors for the wheels on the trailers? I am sure the TPM system has a way to do that, because a Dually would have 6 tires to monitor, right? Or is the TPM not available on a dually....

 

I am thinking of one of those aftermarket systems for the RV, but would love to use the built in DIC to monitor them if possible....

 

I actually had totally dismissed the idea, until I realized a dually had 6 tires, so the system must be somewhat configurable...

 

Of course, the distance from sensor to the receiver would be greater on the RV also...

No tire pressure sensors on dually's (Or in the spare tire either,but you probably knew that already)

I don't think the DIC can handle more than 4 sensors,Give me a few minutes to try and confirm that.

Nope,Everything I'm reading in the service manual says "4 sensors" only.

Guess thats why duallys and spares are not equipped with them,Give'em a few years though.

+1 there would have to be a calibration to add more sensors but to my knowledge one doesn't exist.

The systems are out there, just not for us gm people yet i guess. my moms jeep liberty has one in the spare, and its all screwed up, i have to reset all 5 tires everytime she gets a rotation. WHAT A PAIN
