Flowmaster 70 Big Block Ii

Sounds nice, thanks for the interior clips (not too much drone, just a little louder than stock, nice deep tone)!

Great job on the videos! The third one gives a good idea of cruising resonance,

and it is about the same as what I have with the Borla.

Thanks for the comments...

I agree, the FM70 BB II sounds just like what I had hoped inside. It has a nice low mellow rumble outside.

That FM50 drone was obnoxious at 65.... sheeesh

I thought you had a custom tune, you still have stock shift points? You run out of first gear at only 40-43mph. Unless you weren't actually hammering it, but it looked like you were.

I have a FM 70 but I never heard of the II version. Is that a newer one ?

40mph-43mph, yes, but notice the RPM there: approx 5200 RPM.

I was on it, but it was on a two lane road, and I wasn't just standing on it, given I saw traffic up ahead.

Grumpy, does it sound really bad when AFM kicks in? I watched the video links but I couldn't really tell when it kicked in. Maybe that's good that I couldn't tell?

I had the FM 70 series Big Block II installed in place of the factory muffler today and it is exactly what I was looking for. You can tell when it switches into V4 but it doesn't sound horrible. Actually, you can hardly hear it when it switches into V4. Quiet enough on the inside with no drone and powerful on the outside: this Flowmaster should be very easy to live with.
