Homeade Intake

well, i have the airaid cad kit with the filter and was wondering a few things. could i cut out where my fog light is supposed to be on the passenger side of my truck, put a mesh screen on it and run a tube to my intake box and see an improvement?

I dought if you will see an improvement but you will be opening up yourself to alot more dirt from the road and most of all rain and mist from the vehicle in front of you getting sucked into the cleaner box.

well ive seen the volants that have the intake tube like i want to make. do they use some sort of pre filter?

I doubt it, try it let us know how it goes. I'd buy a new bumper end for a truck with fog lights instead of cutting a hole in the one you got. I bet there is no improvement but I think it would be pretty cool. Cool enough I'd try it if I didn't already have fog lights.
