AllBlkdOut07's New Wheel Options

Giving some thought to getting some aftermarket wheels. I want them to be all black, and I want something totally different that nobody else would have.

I've narrowed it down to these two wheels by Granite Alloy. I would probably go with a 17"x8" wheel and go with a 35" tire.

Both have flat black areas with some machined areas. Both would require having the machined areas painted in a gloss black paint. Let's hear your thoughts on these.

Does the GA9 wheel look too much like a Hummer wheel?

Does the GA5 look more like a lowered truck wheel?

GA9, hands down. :shakehead:

Since they are going to get painted, have you given any thought to filling in the letters on the lip before hand?

Good eye Daddy. I was wondering the same thing. Do you think those letters are simply painted on, or etched/debossed then filled in? If they are debossed, if a shop does body work on them to fll them in will it hold up?

I say either one Umberto. Nobody's ever going to see them anyway. Black wheels disappear on a vehicle. :shakehead:

Thanks for nothing. :shakehead:

No prob man!

You know I'm kidding. I think the GA5 would look cool like you want to paint it. The other one might look good with some meaty all terrains on it. I just wish it didn't have that lettering on the outer lip.

Most I have seen are actually cast into the rim. I'm not sure how to fill them in properly but I am guessing it could be done and would hold up.
