Xm/sirius Channels Merged

Looks like Sirius/XM merged all of the conventional channel line up today.

 

Looks like they removed the redundancy (merged the decades from both, etc), are offering some of the unique channels from both.

 

Personally, I like it. Got HAIR NATION channel fianally.... Right up my college alley... LOL..

 

Looks like they are moving faster to trim redundancy (cost), now that their quarterly results are competing with the material at the bottom of a toilet....

 

Wonder how many (mostly former XM) employees got axed over this today....

I didn't notice anything different about the ten or so presets that I use on a regular basis. I'll have to look in to it a bit more tomorrow.

I noticed that they changed today. I usually listen to xm 48 squizz but now it is octane, which I liked better anyway. I did notice that the dj on squizz is now the dj on octane. So it looks like he kept his job. Also got an email stating all the channel changes.

I have missed having some of the Sirius channels and it looks like they did a great job of joining the best of both lineups.

I'm not happy Cinemagic is gone but it will be back after the first of the year. Other than that the changes are alright with me.

24 hour AC/DC ... how'd I miss THAT?

 

Looks like i'll be "bumping" another channel on my presets this AM....

 

I don't know about the rest of you, but I like the fact that the Sirius music channels have a LITTLE more DJ action. The true 24 hour "no talk" music was getting a little old.

 

I like listening to a little "color commentary", as long as it's not 80% commentary and 20% music.
