Brake Controller

I see some new '08 1500 and up pickups with a factory installed brake controller option. This option was not available in 2006. Would this GM brake controller fit my '06 truck and the supplied pigtail for the brake controller? Would it be a straight plug-in? If yes, what is the part number and cost? If this brake controller worth buying or would other brands, such as Prodigy be a better buy?.

It will not work, it has been heavily discussed here. I wanted to do it to my '07.

 

I have a Tekonsha P3, it is the best one out there right now!

 

The Prodigy is a great unit as well.

I will second the Prodigy. I have used one for several years now, and it is the only brake controller that I will use. I had a cheaper one before I got the Prodigy, and it was unreliable. Can't go wrong with the Prodigy.

You talking about the Voyager? Cause if that is what you are talking about I can agree. Stupid thing doesn't work the same way twice.
