Stabilatrack/park Assist Issue? 08 Sierra Cc

So I'm leaving to go into work tonight, stop at the gas station for a drink and when I leave out of the parking lot, did not step on it, I get a chime and message on the DIC that Stabilatrack is off. About 30 seconds later I get a chime and meassage on the DIC that Park assist is off and the doors unlock/lock themselves about five times in a row. There are no warnings now, all seems to be fine. I tried to duplicate with no success. It was sunny, dry and about 60 out. The truck had been sitting all day. Any one have any ideas? It's going to the shop this week for an oil change any way. I just want to know where they would start looking. Only 16000 miles on her.

I'd be inclined to suggest a dealer visit. It probably doesn't have any codes stored, but it might be worth having them check for codes, anyway.

Yeah......Best of Luck on this....I'd be interested to see what you find out....I get a Park Assist Message everynow and then and also a Service Stabilitrak, but it never leaves any codes, and usually seems to go away without any problems....just kind of makes me iffy for a truck that is supposed to be so advanced...

I'm glad I don't have Stabilitrak.

It's damn handy when it works though....It has literally saved my ass a time or two....and basically if you want to turn on a snow covered road, go ahead, crank the wheel, and floor it....the truck won't let itself get away!

Thanks, I'll be taking it in on Tuesday and will let you know what they don't find. I just want to know what made the door locks flip out like they did.

Well I had somewhat of another occurance of this today. I was driving to work, raods were slightly wet, stepped on the brake slightly and I get the Stabilatrack off meassage with a short flash of the ABS light coming on. I hope this doesn't turn into the dealer tearing my truck apart for a fifth time.

Eh, its all good and well but it just makes you over confident IMO. That one time you try that and it 'lets itself get away' you're screwed.

Well I took the truck to the dealer today and they found nothing. They seem to think it's a low voltage condition that may be causing this but without and part failure or code thrown they won't change anything. The funy thing is after I left I had the clock reset itself for no reason. Radio presets stayed but the clock resets and the HVAC controls will return to a default setting. I guess I just have to wait for what ever it is to completely fail and throw a code.
