Work Is Dead

There is no one here today at my office. My group of 30 people has a whopping 4 counting myself. Even the boss is gone. I've been playing around on this forum all morning. And of course the facilities guys realized that hardly anyone was here and decided "We can drill and hammer in the ceilings all day since it won't bother anyone.

Surely I'm not the only one stuck at work today. And I get to do this again tomorrow.

Hopefully someone's got something more entertaining than me going on today.

Looking at weather forecasts for the upcoming weekend (yes, I know it's Monday), trying to figure out a quick 3-5 day road trip...

To damn cold and windy for me to try to go to work today. Hanging siding in this weather just ain't no fun. :sigh: Wow, I just noticed it's up to 8 degree's. :fume:

I'll be here in the office today and tomorrow, then off for Christmas. I've got plenty to do to keep me busy, but that's the normal situation.

AAhhh yes. I remember when I used to drink. The cold never bothered me. I alway's had a 1/5 of Jack under the seat. Warmed me up rather nicely.

I HAD off starting today for the next 2 weeks, but I was called in today to help out. We are really short staffed and a new software release went in over the weekend on our main processing system. There are a bunch of problems and we are going to have to back-out half of the release as it caused more problems then it was supposed to fix. I was going to try to work from home, but have to do some testing using some of the giant processing machines. Wish I could do that from home, but I am here now so F-it. I AM NOT coming in tomorrow or for the next 2 weeks! Looking forward to it!!

With the wind blowin' 25-30 mph, which puts the wind chill at -6F, we ain't doin' nothin'!!!!

Course, we could go use the new heater in the barn, but that would require going outside first, and my brain freezes rather quickly...

Ah, but I'm at my parents house, and if they run out, the liquor store is only 10 miles away.

Yup,I can attest to the fact that Crown Royal is every bit as good for my body as ethyline glycol(sp.?) is for the modern internal combustion engine
