hey everybody my name is Justin. I purchased a new '08 GMC Sierra 1500 last week and thought i'd introduce myself. I live in eastern Washington and work in Idaho as a mechanical engineer for a small company involved in the power plant industry. the year-end incentives were too enticing to pass up and only emphasized my distain for the VW Jetta i traded in. I have great respect for anybody that takes the time to engineer a working product, but that car was the biggest POS i've ever owned. it was an economy car that carried the maintenance costs of a luxury car, and loved to breakdown every 3 months. needless to say i'm happy to own my Sierra. here's some pics- excuse the poor quality, they were taken on my cell. my girlfriend left the digital camera at her classroom (she teaches special needs kids).

factory options (aside from the standard SL options): G80 locking diff

additional options per my request (to be installed by the dealer shortly): OEM fog lights, power sliding rear window

Welcome to GM-Trucks,another NW member...way cool.Nice truck you got there...how's it in the snow?

the goodyear LS2's are not the best as far as ice/snow traction goes, but they work just fine. i'm really enjoying traction control and the G80 differential. haven't had any problems at all and we got hit pretty hard through the month of december- a little over 59".

Yeah,I was watchin' the Weather Channel and they said get ready for some more of the white stuff.Even Seattle(where I grew up) is likely to get some more..
