08 Silverado Heated Seat Install

I was considering buying the heated seat accessory kit from GM and was curious if anyone had done the installation.

 

Mine is a 2008 Silverado LT with leather 40/20/40 seats.

Been thinking about it my neighbor had it done, they peeled his seats to install the heating elements, took the doors apart to install something or the other and then charged him a full days labor and programming? The install costed more than the parts but he was happy with his 700 heated seat option.

 

If I do it I am going to get the guy down the road that does katskinz - he said he would peel my seats and put them in for just 50 a seat, then I will take it to the dealer for programming I guess.

There was a member of this board that did the install himself and then had the dealer do the programming. It wasn't that long ago...
