Intermittent Electrical Gremlin.

I have a very strange electrical problem with my 1990 Sierra 2500. Sometimes, the headlights, park lights, interior lights, radio, cig lighter, and instument lights will not work, actually most of the time they will not. I'm not sure how all these things are tied together but it's always those things that crap out together. Everything else works normally and the truck runs fine. Thanks for any help!

check the fuse block, if you get a loose connection it will start to melt the plastic and you start to have problems with conections

All was good with the fuse block, but I did find that there was no power getting to the headlight switch and all those things run off of that, including the horn. A pin had loosened off inside the power block and when I pulled it off it must have fallen out. So I just ran a wire straight from the junction box to the wire that powers the headlight switch and all is good now.
