Hi all - first time poster on this site (From Canada).

I have a 2008 Chev 2500HD with just over 12,000 KM on it (about 9000 miles). Have ownedthe truck for a year and primarily use it to tow my Fifth Wheel Trailer.

Theproblem I am having is that I periodically get the Service 4 Wheel Drive messageupon start up and the transaxle is automatically in 4 low. Truck was atDealer for two weeks. They replaced the automatic transaxle module and'relearned' some element of it. I picked the truck up and two dayslater the same problem was back. Truck back at dealer but it is anintermittent problem so they are having trouble diagnosing. Whendriving I feel a 'vibration' under my feet which feels like the truckreally never disengages from 4 wheel high even though the light shows Iam in 2 wheel drive!! I am now in week 4 without my truck and the dealer still hasn't diagnosed. They have provided me with a 2008 Sierra 1500 loaner - but just isn't the same.

Anyone else experience this?

Sounds similar (from another forum):http://www.duramaxforum.com/forum/07-5-lmm-duramax-powertrain/14414-locked-transfer-case-2008-lmm-2.html

Spent 1-1/2 hours at dealer, with the follow warranty service done. This was the technician's report on the fix

"SERVICE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE LIGHT ON. . .

INSPECTED AND VERIFEID CODE C0569, C0396

R & R TRANSFER CASE SHIFT MOTOR, PIN DISLODGED FROM

MOTOR. REPLACED AND RESECURED NECESSARY COMPONENTS.

TEST DROVE AND TRIED SYSTEM NUMEROUS TIMES. NO FURTHER

ISSUES.

OJ•3L K4122 .9"

Truck runs fine, and will go into 2WD, 4WD low, and 4 WD high without a problem. I asked the dealer if this problem could have been caused by road debris, and the answer was no, it was a unique problem.
