Here's a (dumb) question....it says that the avatar must be a 64X64 pixel gif file, but your example uses a jpeg.  I have some jpegs I'd like to use, can I set them to 64X64 and use them instead of gifs?  If so, what is the max size jpeg I can use?

I don't think it maters, the size or format. It should automaticly size it correctly. I think 64x64 is used as a guide so that you can pick a picture that will not look bad distorted a little.

exactly, the reason why it says to use 64x64 is so that it won't get distorted, but you can use whatever.  I should go change it because it doesn't habe to be a .gif
