Wanted to let y'all know if you didn't get the flyer in the mail. You can get 5 months of XM radio for $19.99. There is no special savings code, just call 'em and say you got a flyer with the offer I mentioned. The code you will have to give them is simply your radio ID number.

Hi, sounds interesting how do I find my radio ID? Mine just expired and I haven't looked into yet!!

Are they going to want a credit card number for payment? That could set up an automatic payment for a full-charge 1-year subscription when the 5-month deal runs out.

My XM subscription had expired and after getting s whole s***-load of calls from them, they offered me a 90-day trial

deal for $14.95. They said I could pay by check for $2.00 extra insted of using me CC. So I took that.

I wonder if I can wait and get this extension when my current deal runs out at the end of the month??

Thanks for the info. I've been a Sirius subscriber for 3 years now and just recently got my 04 with the built in XM. It would be nice to not have to install my Sirius reciever in the truck and have an extra antenna. I've grown so accustomed though to my channels that I'm not sure I could go with XM. Of course I have to get the best of Sirius package too. (sigh)

Anyone know of other deals going on that I can ask about?

You can get a full year for only 77 bucks.

Use the code "ZWINBACK"

That code had been discussed over on the Corvette Forum and many people said that the ZWINBACK code is no longer valid. I was going to try it but there was just too much negative response. Hopefully, somebody at the call-in desk won't have gotten the word.... :dunno:

I'm a Sirius subscriber and I have a dock in my 02 Vette, at home and in my truck, but using my Starmate radio and going thru the AUX connection doesn't give as good a sound quality as XM does when I listen to the same XM/Sirius channel. I would really like to keep the XM subscription, but I don't want to pay for 2 full subscriptions.

There was supposed to be a replacement receiver for Sirius for the new trucks that is a direct swap for the XM receiver. It was supposed to be available right after the first of the year, but so far, I haven't heard anything. Going with a Sirius receiver when you already have a subscription is like adding a second radio to an existing account and that's about $7 per month.

Yes, they will ask you for your credit card. I plan on canceling it before the automatic renewal date anyway.

See last post in this thread...the code still worked only 2 weeks ago.

Check out TSS Radio.com. They have the module listed but it requires the addition of the sirius antenna. I'm torn because I already have a starmate 4 waiting to go in and need to wire it into the antenna connection and just need some adapters. Or I could do the module thing and spend more $$ or I could just subscribe to XM. Problem is Sirius and XM haven't merged billing so I don't get the second account for $6 like I do with Sirius. They tell me to pay the full amount. If I can get the $77 a year deal I may sign up and try and get the best of Sirius package as well.

The $77 promo still works. I told a co worker about it, and they used it a few days ago. I am about to renew in about a month with that same promo as well. When you call, tell them you want the $77 promo. Don't give them a code.

TSS doesn't have the module for the radios in the NBS trucks. Apparently the radio changed enough in 07 that the current SIRGM1 won't work. TSS had set up a email notification to potential buyers when the unit becomes available but so far, I haven't gotten an email and their website doesn't have any info nor does the Sirius website show a unit for NBS trucks.

At least with my 08, there is a AUX port in the face of the radio, so it was a fairly simple job to set up my Starmate 4 in the truck. I use the 12v port in the console for power and I got a short aux cable at Radio Shack for $3.95.

OK, I didn't know the radios were that different. It's about time GM put an aux port in the radios. Fords have been doing it for a while now.

The Aux port not sounding good may be the actual radio. I had my Starmate hooked up in my S-10 to my Alpine stereo via the Aux connection at the back of the radio. I just needed the mini jack to RCA adapter and it sounded better than the regular radio stations. I remember when GM radios used to be able to pick up stations and tune them perfectly. I can't say that about my 04. I've been without Sat Radio for a mont now in my truck and I am going through withdrawal. The more I think about it, I think I'll try the $77 deal on Monday and suspend my main Sirius receiver to save some $. (I checked the XM lineup and have found they integrated a lot of the Sirius stations over to XM that I listen to)
