Exhaust Discoloring Rear Bumper

THe first bumper was sort of yellowish brown cloudy spot, this one is blue cloudy, take a lighter to a butter knife...

I would like to see exactly what you are talking about. Mine leaves a "bluish" spot on the bumper - but not yellow, or small pitted spots - more like a cloudy blue patch.

Did anyone have any luck having this covered by warranty?

Service manager basically told me than the fuel I was using was to blame and that I should be polishing my bumper daily!

 

I have a 2010 Sierra 1500 w/5.3L. 50000 Km

The discoloration is half way up my bumper. Haven't tried to take the staining off other than with regular carwash soap.

I have slight bumper discoloration too, but not nearly as bad as RolandMan. I assume my truck runs a little rich as the exhaust pipe tips are sooty too. I thought about taking it to the dealer under warranty to see what if anything they could do, but haven't yet. I figure they will blame it on the corsa exhaust or the gas I'm using (which is 87 by the way). I've wondered if a BlackBear tune would correct it (if it is a rich condition).?
