2-second Lag Off The Line

Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on it, because while im rolling the Black Bear tune made a world of a difference, but off the line from a dead stop it still takes about 2 seconds from when you stomp the throttle to actually feel your horsepower. I was under the impression that it was torque management that did this, correct me if i am wrong but torque management only has to do with the tranny right?

My 4 second delay is gone, but sometimes I can feel a 1 second delay, rarely though.

Did you remove enough TM? Although mine's a GMT800, my delay is gone.

Did GMT-800 trucks have a delay? I had a 2006 5.3L and I never felt a lag, only thing I would notice was TM after every shift.

Mine did, although only about 1 second or less, it was still noticeable. Between shifting delay is completely gone now.

I wouldn't say my delay is completely gone, but it's not nearly 2 sec.

Maybe someone *cough* Justin *cough* Jenna will chime in . . .

Yea well i dont know if its a full 2 seconds it might be about 1.234327 seconds. But i have 100% TM removed with my Tow Haul but I dont believe TM has anything to do with getting off the line quicker since TM is only present when shifting.

lol if i had the size tires and rims you have on my truck, I wouldnt be able to drive Ms. Daisy without spinning the tires . 275/55/20's are pretty hard to spin just by stompin the gas, unless the tires are damp or bald of course.

There is not a delay per se, it is the amount of time it takes to enter the engine's torque band. You have an 08, so this takes quite a bit longer than the older models based on the engine design.

I don't have a Black Bear Tune, and I guess I have never "floored" my accelerator from a dead stop, but my truck will chirp the tires if I give it 1/4 to 1/3 throttle from a dead stop, and it happens pretty fast! Is my TM broken? Oh darn...
