Hey there and welcome to GM Trucks! :uhoh:

Odd problem. It kind of looks like the previous own had customizations to the audio system that he took out before selling and and didn't put the stock components back together correctly.

yes :uhoh: this is not funny since my xm is active right now and can't listen!

Did you buy it from a dealer or privately. If you bought it from a dealer I would be going back to them to fix it. If you bought it privately I'd be going back to them to find out what they did to it.

If you know electronics, then I would suggest getting a factory wiring diagram and start troubleshooting. However, with cabling in a vehicle and possible missing cables, things disconnected, this can be quite difficult and time consuming even for someone who knows electronics! This is one of the most difficult problems to troubleshoot because things are not as they should be and there are multiple problems.

The easiest and quickest thing to do would be to compare your trucks connections with another truck of the same year and model. Then reconnect everything the same. Then troubleshoot from there if something is still not working.

With that said, taking your truck to the dealer might be the best thing because they would have similar models there and could peek and see how things are connected on another truck.

If it was an older truck, I would suggest going to a wrecking yard and taking pictures of the connections on a similar truck. But I doubt you would find this truck. Might call around and see if a wrecking yard has one.
