FargoZ71 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I bought my 03 and it has a cat back dual exhaust, but the standard GM heavy duty air filter.. My thoughts on what would probably be best, since i still plan on towing a boat / trailer ect. would be to get a CAI, but in ND / MN it snow's and rains alot and im worried about water getting into my intake, and I like to hit the mud holes. But in order i was thinking.. - Custom Tune - CAI(or even just a K&N drop in) - Corvette servo to the tranny. Only reason i'm looking to do anything is cause my brother always gives me shit, and his 03 ram 1ton with a Cummings and chip runs about 16.5... So close to what i should be running right now, and even though he's older, i have to have my bragging rights and can't just jump to well my Rocket will go XXX. Also looking to end the sluggish tranny shifting.
ScottyBoy Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I think you should use some of that $600 to buy a baseball bat to crack your brother's knees for disrespecting your family by driving a Dodge!
bigredmariner Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Do the servo first, for about $ 20.00 your shifts will be much firmer. Get the tune done by Justin, at Black Bear Performance. As far as the CAI or drop in K&N ? I have the K&N drop in and I'm still on the fence about the CAI. But that's just my opinion FWIW.
