2008 Sierra Denali Supercharger

Welcome, and I will also suggest the Magnacharger kit. I am also playing with the idea of a super charger. Just watched an install film on their site....looks like I could tackle it in a weekend. Good luck!

I put a magnacharger on my '00 Silverado. I think it took 8-10 hours. Their instructions are so thorough and so well documented with pictures, it was a joke to do. My only hiccup was I didn't have a tool to disconnect the fuel rail, so I had to hit the local parts store for one.

But definately an easy install, and the power + sound of it whining when she revs up is definately worth the effort! :dunno:

I would recommend Magnachargers new TVS.

magna appears to be the winner, but I have seen no vids of acceleration runs, very few performance stats and even less info about durability and reliability with the 4L80E transmission. I'm sure the motor is fine at 5-6psi, but not sure about tranny.

You always take a chance with power adders and trannies. The 4L80E tranny is built pretty good and you shouldn't have any problems @ 5-6psi boost. When I put my S/c in, I put some servos and a larger tranny cooler and am curently @ 6.5PSI boost with no problems what so ever. Of course, make sure you have a good tuner.

The biggest difference between the roots and centrifugal is the power band. The roots gives torque down low, the centrifugal will give more HP up above, and less off the line.

On a truck, you can't beat the roots (magnacharger, or similar). It makes it launch like a rocket (you need the torque to get it going). Now, if you had say a RWD Camaro, then the centrifugal is better, since you don't get as much torque down below, so hooking up is easier.

Did a magna on my last truck, and wish I could afford it on this one. The 6.2 pulls like a freight train at high revs, but it could really use a kick in the a$$ to make it launch harder.
