Factory Silverado Electric Fans

Ok, I have a 2001 Silverado and I bought the factory dual electric fan setup for it from GM, but my radiator is too small for the setup, does anyone know were I can find the right radiator for my truck so I can put this in, I know it will fit I have two bolt holes on the core support that are not being used so the wider radiator would bolt their and the factory fan setup will bolt were my radiator is now bolted to, I've gone directly to the dealer to find the right fan and all they tell me is that they use the same radiator for all the silverado's and than I show them what I am talking about and the are just speechless and can't help me. so any help would be great.

gmpartsdirect.com suggests that the 2001 radiator and the 2005 radiator (the first year electric fans were first installed from the factory) have different part numbers (these are for the 5.3).

15193110 - 2001

15841571 - 2005

So, not all GM trucks have the same radiator, but we already knew that.

When GM went with the electric cooling fans in 2005 they used the same radiator the 2500 series used. I believe its 2" wider. I myself used the same radiator in my 04 with a C5 Vett cooling fan & shroud assembly with a aftermarket controller from Jeg's. I tow a trailer in the summer without any problems.

Try 4 seasons radiator.

I've used them for a Wrangler V8 conversion and several other Jeep applications and they always came through. They have good old copper / brass radiators available too for better heat dissipation. I even put one in my Cherokee 4.0.

Worth a look!
