New F150 Interior

I know the new Fords have been discussed at length but I just had to share my thoughts.

I finally had the opportunity to take a close look at the interior of the new F150 Lariat, King Ranch and the Platinum. (not considering buying one, just looking) I have to admit, I like most of the exterior of the truck but that interior is so bad it would keep me from ever considering this truck. The quality is good and the basic shapes are not a real problem, it is the multiple colors and materials that sent me running.

Silver plastic in the dash and console

Tan vinyl

Tan leather

Gray speaker covers

Chrome A/C vent trim rings

Wood grain

Since when did silver plastic go with Buckskin leather?

I remember seeing this in the Titan when it first came out and I thought it looked ridiculous then.

I agree for the most part. I wouldn't say that Ford can't make a good truck interior. I loved the interior of the Super Duty Harley edition.

New F150 Exterior...What were they thinking

The head lights and tail lights look like some one was having a seizure when they were designing them.

I can live with the nose and it actually is growing on my with each one I see, not so crazy about the tail lights, but that interior is just not something I could live with under any conditions.

Yep...that is Ford's recipe for luxury...hundreds of buttons and a lot of silver paint.

Damn that's ugly. The Denali looks like a Rolls in comparison. I hate the tail end styling and the front grille and headlights on the new F150.

The Ford just look too busy.

Wow...I had not seen the F150 interior. Now, I admit...I'm a second generation GM fanatic and have never had anything nice to say about ford. That being said, wow...that's an ugly interior! Saying it's busy is an understatement! What on earth can all those buttons possibly do? Are there that many functions to that truck?

one thing i hate on fords is the shifter... why don't they put it on the column like everybody else? when i hop into them i always grab for the shifter on the column and then realize its gay and in the console.

I think th efloor mounted shifter is cool. Not everybody needs the space for something else. It's one of the few things I liked about my 2007 Titan.

I use that center floor space all the time. It's just a matter of personal opinion. I like the efficiency of having the shifter out of the way of everything and having a little extra floor space. I just hope that when GM goes over to floor shifters that they offer a column shifter option...

A good friend just bought an 09 F150 XLT. It has the center console, but column shifter. I think his interior is actually pretty nice. But that pic posted above is ass, wayyy to busy!!

Its the front and rear I could not live with. Ugly as sin!!

I have yet to ride in it yet, but he says its very quiet and smooth. (no FX4 package or anything and street tires)

His has the sync features, it actually does quite a bit and is pretty neat. Some of the same stuff that onstar can do, its just free (or at least I think it is?)
