Aftermarket Seats

I have an '05' 2500HD. I cannot stand the stock leather seats. I tow long distances, and need more comfort. I have been told air ride will not work due to headroom problems. I have also been told aftermarket seats will not work because of integrated seat belts. Anybody have any experience or suggestions. I have not seen many conversion companies around like in the 90's.

The seats are not the best. As far as I can see, your choices are limited to seats that were originally sold in similar vehicles. Maybe the same model (GMT800) would work. But, you may have issues with seat belts and air bags. Sorry.

The best solution is to go to an upholstery shop and tell them your concerns. The aftermarket padding is 100x better than stock and they should be able to add the proper amounts in the right places to give you the support you're looking for.
