Gmc Nbs Leveling Kit Conclusions

Other than their installations are there really and advantages or disadvantages that one Kit has over the other? Local shop swears by the above strut kits, says you won't suffer any extra wear on the Ball Joints. He sales the Skyjacker and Tuff Country brands.

Decisions ...

Don't think the position of the spacer will change the affect on the balljoints, you are still running them at a greater angle than before. The only advantage I see is sprung weight versus unsprung weight. But it shouldn't make much of a difference.

exactly same angles.. and i believe the below strut kits are easier to install

Kinda my same conclusion also and from the looks of it the under strut would be a good bit easier to install. This guy was more or less making a sales pitch for business it seemed.

Yea, they'll both have the exact same effect... go with the lower spacer, its easier to install AND less visible

I have the Rough country lower 2" spacer kit and had it on for about two years with no issues. It only took me about 30-45 minutes to do. I would recommend this kit. Like stated above it is less visible.

Are there kits available that do not affect ball joint angles? I'm thinking of a body lift kit but one for levelling the GMT900, not really affecting the back of the truck too much.

I put a body lift on my truck, one of the main reasons was I needed 3" minimum to fit the tires I wanted, but I didn't want to ruin my front end geometry.

My plan was to put lowering shackles on the rear to level it out and then helper bags for towing, but my truck looks great imo with just the body lift so I never went ahead with lowering the rear

Toney,

Go with a Bilstein 5100 series adjustable ride height shock. The stock shocks are junk anyway. You'll really appreciate the better ride control.
