03-06 Navigation Retrofit

ok yall, I tried to post about this at FSC but they dont seem to know/care anything about the matter.

Looking at the idea of ebay style retrofitting my 05 sivlerado with an OEM non-lux navi system. I think it would come in handy for other users (and yes I searched, I didnt find everything I needed..) to have a thread that has ALL the part numbers that you need to retrofit an 03-05 with navi both lux and non lux.

Here is what I have so far:

lux is repersented by "Y91" on your build sheet and is not common on silverados, but tahoes, suburbans and the sierra denali may have it.

lux uses a different amp to power the speakers, and a different headunit for navigation (and possibly for standard radio??)

part numbers needed for lux conversion??

bose to navi conversion.. no Y91 part number, what I'm finding is 2 part numbers for oem nav. unit.

15800000 as a "navigation radio" according to gmpartsdirect.com

15229287 according to forum searches google and 1 ebay listing.

Now, other than this you also need the GPS antenna..

88987710 as "Navigation antenna coax cable" according to gmapartsdirect.com

is this all you need? I recall hearing from a successful swap that some sort of gauge cluster to navigation headunit harness was also needed in determining vehicle speed.

Anything else yall please fill me in. Or if a thread exists that I just missed.. point me in the right direction if you dont mind.

huh.. no reply here either?

not even a "USE THE SEARCH!" ??

I know its not the current model.. but these parts seem fairly inexpensive and I see 03-06s everywhere..

15800000 is the part number I used in my Bose 04 Avalanche.

Your harness might already have the VSS wire for the vehicle speed, but if it doesn't you don't need it. I didn't hook it up. The Nav was very jumpy for the first few days then settled right down and worked fine.

Here's some pics I took when I was removing it(lease return). I also had a PAC adapter to run an amp and sub.
