hey guys not meaning to hijack the spirited conversation ,but looking for advise .my sister is looking at buying a used Colorado prob extended cab or crew cab for the room ,2wd small engine for running around mileage ect.looking for years and model's to steer away from ,thanks ahead of time .

Used Colorado's are a pretty stable platform. These days, the era of one yer to buy and another to stay away from are sortof gone. Buy one that is in good condition and has reasonable mileage and you'll do fine. I tend to stay away from early production first year vehicles but I have no science to back that up. Theory there is that the first ones are going to be the ones that show up with the design flaws that later ones have fixed before delivery.

The 4 cyl have enough power for around town and highway. If you get a 06 or newer you get the more powerfull 2.9.
