Mirror Glass

Hey guys, so last week I backed out of the garage, and busted my passenger side mirror glass, and I got new glass, and I need to know how to properly remove the glass, so I don't break any of the plastic parts, or the "socket" for the power mirror part

Any help would be appreciated

I don't have power mirrors, but I assume the procedure is the same.

Adjust the mirror all the way down. Get a flashlight if needed and look down inside the housing. The reflective piece is held to the rotating base by clips. Get a flat blade screwdriver and unclip each one. There's five or six of them.

I saw the clips, do you rotate it and then remove it, or do you just unclip them, and pull straight out?

Unclip and pull straight out. If your hands are thin enough you might even be able to get your fingers down in to release the clips... makes it even easier.

FSM and my experience say just tilt the mirror down and out and gently but firmly pull the top, inside part of the glass. It pops out easily.

I need to replace the right side mirror lens on my truck, will not dim anymore. Is the lense the same, and the procedure the same??
