Di/do Muffler Advice... Need It

Hey guys,

Looking to put a dual in/ dual out exhaust on my sierra in front of the rear passenger tire. I havent heard or seen too much. Im torn between Flowmaster, magnaflow, and possibly corsa. I am also willing to do a single in/ ual out setup. If anyone can shed some light on the difference between these two setups please help. Oh yea...if you have some pictures and/or 5.3L exhaust clips... please post. Much appreciated. :thumbs:

On a more serious note, the best thing to do is go to shows and listen to diff set-ups. As you should know, it is all going to come down to personal preference. I personally do not like exhaust kits. But some guys live by the cat-back kit. IMO id go with flowmaster, because i like it loud when accelerating. My set-up is actually quiet at idle and has little drone when cruising. But others on this site and any other forum, will all have their own opinions.

Unless you're going header back, the new body trucks have one pipe running to the stock muffler...

 

Magnaflows are quieter from what I've seen of them, my MBRPs are just a tad bit quieter than Flowmaster 40 muffler...Somehow it's louder than my old K-10 with true duals.

I WAS THINKING FLOWMASTER 50 SUV SERIES OR A MAGNAFLOW MUFFLER. I WENT TO A LOCAL PERFORMANCE SHOP AND THE GUY SHOWED ME A STAINLESS STEEL MUFFLER WITH AN INTERNAL X-PIPE. LOOKING FOR SOMETHING CIVILIZED WITH A NICE DEEP RUMBLE. THANKS FOR THE INPUT.

I bought the Magnaflow with the dual pipes exiting in front of the passenger tire, I'm just waiting for better weather to get it bolted on.

Perfect!!! What setup is it? Dual In/ Dual Out or Single In/ Dual out? You would be a savior if you setup a video clip after your install. I've been waiting to hear what a stup like that sounds like. :thumbs:

It's the single in/dual out. I'll definitely post pics and a video once I get it installed.

 

A savior? Wow, that sounds important! :thumbs::D
