Hankook Dynapro Atm Rf10's

I have it narrowed down to a Set of NITTO Terra Grapplers @ $121/ea, or Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10's for $127/ea.

 

So, opinions? Anyone running the Hankook? I really like white letter tires.

You might want to avoid the Nitto's? (Thread below) Also do a google search on them, I just did for a set of winter tires I was going to purchase and all I can say is, I am glad I did!

Yeah, those are Mud Grapplers, and they were a much bigger size than I am going to run. They are talking about 20"+ rims; I am running a stock 17" rim and tire setup 265/70/17....

I have never used the hankooks on my truck but we have ran them on high hp front wheel drive cars..(i know totally different animal) BUT from what i read they have simiar characteristics.. Dry traction on the road might not be the absolute best, but its because they run a hard compound that wears like IRON.

 

I am looking into the hankook mud terrains they look real mean and reportedly get 50k+ miles out of a set. I dont think the terra grapplers will give u the mileage of the hankooks, mainly because they have a softer compound.

the hankook RF10s are awesome i have a set of 305/70/16s on my half ton they look awesome and drive nice and quiet down the highway my dads dually also has them on his he pulls big loads on 7 hour trips they are holding up nice i wouldn't recomend the nittos have a friend thats blown out 2 terra grabblers already

My experience with the Nitto's on my old truck were fair. I liked them for ride and handling but they did not last as long as I wanted (35,000 miles).

From the Tire guys I have talked to, the Hankooks should last longer than the Nitto's. I am getting a set of 4 of the Hankook DynaPro ATM's for $538 OTD mounted and balanced through Cooks Performance here in IL.

didnt last 35k? man thats terrible mileage out of a road tire. For example my Pro-Comp xtreme A/Ts have over 25k on them and are still at half tread. They are also a more aggressive off-road tire than TG's.

The Nittos lasted 35k. I was hoping for more.

I got 54K out of a set of Summit mud dawgs. They look just like the Maxxis Bighorn and they are alot more agressive tire. I could get 60 out of them if Id have had the front end aligned. Nittos are overrated IMO. Im getting ready to try a set of Buckshots on my Z71, getting them for 171 a tire M/B/I. Plus, how many trucks do you see with Nitto's? Almost all of them are covered in chrome.....i wont get them just cause everyone else has them but thats my opinion.

Its a "no name" tire but it is the exact same as the Maxxis bighorn.

Id get them again but i can get the buckshot for 70 less a tire...i was lookin at the bighorn and the goodyear duratrac but the are between the 239 and 260 per tire range so im goin with the buckshot. Alot better than whats on it now, at least i wont be afraid to turn around in my yard.

I am just looking to get 40-45,000 out of the Hankooks. I dont really want a hard rubber, 90,000 mile tire. I want something that will last a couple winters, and grip in the snow and the rain. Should be getting these in a week or two, and will post pics!
