1.5 Zone Bodylift (installation Questions) Tuffness?

Has anyone ever installed this lift themselves (which i assume some have)? How difficult is this installation? How long did it take? Does it effect the ride/handle?

Thanks for all the help!!

I hear its easy and from what I have seen of the directions, it is. Some have said 4-8 hours. Won't affect the ride or handling as you are not altering the suspension, just lifting the body from the frame 1.5".

Why in the world would you want to lift your body higher off the frame?

All I know is I'm doing a suspension only lift when I finally do it.

Well good for you, maybe he doesnt want a suspension lift but something alot cheaper to get more wheel well clearance to install bigger tires. First post and you come off with something like that, that really helps him.

Jason: My next modification is going to be a body lift. I still can't decide on whether to do a 1.5" or a 3" lift. With all the research I've done the 1.5" is pretty easy, the 3" just takes a little extra time and removal of a few more parts. But either way I am going to do it. I just have to save up the money first!

I am going to do the 1.5" BL shortly when I install new tires, just to maintain the clearance that I have now with fabtech and 305/55/20's.

It would be sweet if you took some pics and did a review of the install on here.

not hard at all, installed mine couple months ago, a bit of cutting and drilling for the from bumper. I guess that was the "harder" part. Mine is a 02 with 4x4 stick so had to move/bend the bracket go get into 4-low.

To install just to body lift imma say 2 guys for 4 hours with beers

shouldnt affect your ride, I went for the 3.5" + 3"block on mine so i got new shocks and ride is good.

Did you get the rear bumper bracket too? I dont think it come with the kit
