Mudflaps

I am looking for opinions on mudflaps. I have a 2010 silverado that needs a little protection. I drive quite a bit of gravel during the hunting season and want to make sure I am not chipping up my truck.

Any recommendations out there? I want something thats going to look great and still work well...pictures appreciated!

Thanks!!!

I've got Weathertech on mine and like them. Their might be some that are bigger and protect more, I'm not really sure. So far they seem to be doing a good job on mine protecting and really like the looks. I have tried taking some pictures of them before but they just don't show up very well.

I have the GM ones. I must say that I have seen both the GM and the weathertech and they both look good and protect well. The GM ones have either a bowtie or the GMC letters on the rear ones but the rears require holes to be put into the lip of the fender well. The weathertech's require no drilling at all but dont have the logo.

I have a set of Weather Techs on my truck.... they seem to be a good deterent to muddy roads, ever since installation I haven't seen a bit of mud to "splash" through lol

I'm unsure if they protect yet, but I have a hunch that they aren't going to be as good as I initially was looking for, but only time will tell. I drive lots of gravel during hunting season, so they will be tested.

I just installed the weathertechs on my 2005 Sierra, took 20 min and the fit and finish is fantastic! I had ordered huskies 6 months ago, they didn't line up with the factory holes, I would have had to pull the rear tires and get out the drill to install. The weathertechs lined up perfectly and installed without any headache. Highly recommend!

molded ones do look the best,..but if you live in an area of snow,..and salt mix on the road,..the molded part over the fender is a habitat for road salts,..dust,..dirt,..and any wax/soap. Not to mention after a few years, the road vibrations that occur will scratch the paint behind it. ( in Maine anyways)

buy the clear stone guard tape and place behind the molded part where it contacts the body panel,..it will protect the paint longer.

I have some cheap auto store fexible flat plastic ones that are about 1/2" narrower than the tire...they dont look spectacular,..but the function,..especially in the back woods and over deep snow. ( in other words, they dont break off when I ram through the snowbank at the end of the driveway left by the plow truck!!)

I have the Weathertech mudflaps and have no complaints at all with them.

OEM molded black.

100% weathertech no drills. Logos are way less important than holes rusting on your box. By the way, those screws with silicone don't work.

I bought weathertech for my 2010 silverado and drove down one dirt road and now I have about a dozen rock chips down the side of my truck!!! The new tires seem to hold rocks and fling them off at high speeds.. Truck has 600 miles on it. Not real impressed
