Picked up my Sierra last week, so decided to see what we could fit on it today. Installed the rough country 2” level and a set of fuel gripper m/t’s In a 35x12.50. After some trimming of mud flaps, removing bracket behind fender liner, and tying the fender liner back. Rubbing is gone. So if you’re not scared to trim some plastic it can be done. I think it looks good, let me know what you think. I knew worked on at4, couldn’t find anyone to confirm if would fit a standard level.5 points

So we went ahead and did it, so I guess we have 18.6L of L86s in the garage now [emoji123] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro5 points

Local dealer said 84263801 was the pn for the double cab T1s. Parts ended up fitting okay but the instructions are terrible/wrong. Here's what I learned. (be advised I have a Silverado LT) You need to remove the existing trim/flap pieces and pull out the outside square nut in back, u nut in front (leave the rest). When you replace that outside screw it'll pickup the U nuts that comes on the liner. There are cutouts in the liner for the other nuts. The rear trim piece is held on with two white pop fasteners that slide into the plastic trim piece body. You want to pop those out from the back and not just gently pry from the front or you can break the tabs on the trim piece (ask me how I know) The expanding square nuts go into the square cutouts in the wheel well, NOT the 'back of the wheel house liner' like the instructions say. The 'plastic threaded nuts' have no threads. I used one of the T15 screws in the kit as a tap. Leave 5 threads showing or you'll bottom out the scre/dimple the back of the nut. These are the fiber mat type, similar to the fronts. The whole thing doesnt fit as tight as my father in laws GMT900 Z71 at the ends but not badly and I am happy to have these in. Looks way better than the white bed showing.2 points

Great! I’m glad you know what you like. I need to find that 5.3 or 6.2 fan club thread so I can go post in it now about how they are thirsty and outdated. Wait, I’ll have the respect of not doing that...2 points

Welp I think i found the culprit!!!! If you watch my eibach install video I mentioned that I previously had a rough country kit. When i upgraded to the eibach kit I replaced the lower bolts with grade 8 bolts of the same diameter. While swapping struts today I noticed a lot of slop in the lower bolts once loosened. Before reinstalling the bolts I ran to the hardware store and grabbed new grade 8 bolts a diameter size larger (7/16”). Turns out those fit PERFECTLY through the lower strut mount and the lower control arm. Even looking at the original bolts I had (3/8” I’m guessing, you can see the zinc coating was worn off right where they passed through the lower control arm. So in short, my lower bolt diameter was too small because I wasn’t using those stock nut clips! Pictures below showing the wear marks. Crossing my fingers this was the issue!!! I slipped them into my old struts to illustrate my point. Waterfowler 41’s Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/brittmork1 point

Do they tend to leak at all if you’re looking closely before or do they often just blow without warning? Is one end or the other consistently the problem? Is there any better aftermarket replacement available?1 point

Best decision concerning clear bra was when I immediately added putting it on headlights, painted surface above bumper, mirrors and behind quarter panels.1 point

I emailed Titan Fuel Tanks the other day asking if they planned on releasing a larger tank for the new 2019 1500. Their reply was "We have a few things in the works, stay tuned." Anyone who's interested should contact them, show the interest in a larger tank. It's all about there being a market.1 point

I’m completely fine in my choices. This thread is quite obviously titled to be a positive discussion about the 2.7. Your posts have added no value to the thread.1 point

Ah ok. So you haven’t driven one. Point made. I’ve got 2 other turbos sitting in my garage - one of which is known for its lag. Twin turbo is not the only solution to lag - dual volute is working quite well with this engine. Again, I’ve driven it, I’m not going on outdated ideas here. Had the boat behind it earlier actually, bringing it home for some fun tomorrow. Not a bit different than going down the road unloaded. The boys at TFL didn’t have any noticeable lag when running fully loaded either. It’s a pretty legit tool considering it pulled the Ike at its limit in the same time that the 6.2 did at its limit. Sounds pretty well matched to the truck to me. The 3.6 sounds like garbage and pulls like garbage. It’s nowhere near the same class as this... I’ve owned one of them as well.1 point

I'm going to check my lines for any sign of defect/oil seepage. And keep checking them, although it may just go without any other sign. I think if mine does go I would rather just let it runs till engine seizes. Start it once more just to be sure, then call OnStar. Think I would rather have a new motor than worry about damage from running on no oil. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk1 point

I work at a GM store and I am looking at getting a new body Silverado and ran across this issue myself. I want the "HD Surround Vision" camera package, but I am finding out that it isn't compatible with the "Accessory Trailer Camera System". I have been researching and the option code for HD Surround Vision is "UV2"(vision 360 view) and that the option code for the Trailering Camera and Rear View system is "UVI"(vision 270 & trailer view). I preliminarily have found that the harness on a particular High Country crew cab truck with the 360 view(UV2) also lists the 270 view(UVI) as an option that it also supports. I am thinking of ordering the correct rear trailer harness receptacle that has the camera ports as shown in the above photos to see if it indeed plugs directly into the truck harness. If it passes that test, I am going to plug in one of the trailer accessory cameras and see if it actually fires up and works. If you will notice that the receptacle in the photo shows the receptacle to have a port on the left for an interior view trailer camera. If you have been following, that is one of the selling points on the new 2020 HD trucks that have yet to arrive. They are supposed to offer 15 camera views as per the ads. It appears that GM has installed these in the 2019 light duties and I would guess that they will offer upgrades that will support both trailer views in the future with programming and another camera through the accessory division. I will post updates once I test my theory.1 point

Not to put salt on the wound. Now how much is that warranty worth? My point is you shouldn't have to go through this. We spend our money but everyone else makes the rules. It's wrong IMO.1 point

I have never seen that. But I did remove some of the chrome. I wrapped my grill gloss black and replaced my headlights. I did want to wrap the lower part of the bumper gloss black as well. But I don’t know yet. Here’s how it looks now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
