  1. Hello all... I am finally back to GM - my first truck was a 1994 GMC Sierra - I had that for 10 years and over 500,000kms with no major repairs till it was stolen, had 2 failed ecoboost adventures and returned with a 2019 LT last week! A few pictures below, so far shes been through her first snow storm already! I have a before and after of the window tint, 15% on the fronts, and changed to bowtie for a black one! Things in the works are larger tires - I dont want to put a lift or a level kit on it, what is the largest tire I can fit on the 18" factory rims? I am think of getting Fuel Beast rims ... anyone know if I will have any issues installing them? I am getting a bakflip, the box sprayed and the wheel wells sprayed with LineX, also getting the GM fog lights installed. Cheers all!

  5. It is definitely one of my top 5 favorite features. Love hitting the button in the cab to drop the tailgate. Made for a show at Lowe’s to. People stopped and were like woah lol Ryan B.

  8. You have data on what the paint thickness is for industry average or are you just making an assumption because you have read about some people on the forums having chipping issues? Nothing I have heard or seen indicates it is "below" industry average, I don't think "we all know" this issue you talk about. Check any other auto manufacturer forums and you will see the same things about easy chipping paint, especially on painted metal areas like the hood. It is all because of the type of paint they use these days for environmental purposes mainly. Been like that for the last few decades. It is easiest to happen to those with painted bumpers or on the front hoods. A rock hitting a hard surface will chip much easier than a soft painted surface such as painted plastic. Which is why chrome is the way to go, much more durable. I put a clear bra on the front of my hood, the painted plastic piece above my bumper has no chipping issue. I am going to go out on a limb and say there are no significant paint changes from the previous generation and like anything you have to take care of something in order for it to last. Just like waxing to protect the clear coat or change oil to protect the engine. You can't expect anything to me maintenance free, this is especially the case with painted bumpers. Put a protective clear bra on it, but don't expect any manufacturers painted front bumper to last... BTW, 19k miles in 6 years, I would say you didn't get your usage out of that truck. Tyler

  9. Free time? Nope, that’s time you’re essentially paying for! Can’t wait to hear the good news....I mean confirmation that I’ll be spending more money on another upgrade!

  10. 1Slow1500, Thank you for your suggestion. Sounds like you feel it’s normal, but to have it at least documented would be a good idea. That’s why I started this thread is to see if other people are getting the same pressure using the suggested 0w20 oil. If enough people chimed in saying they get similar results (well under 20psi) under the same circumstances, I would not even take it in. So when other people see this thread they will easily be able to tell if they’re concern with oil pressure in these new trucks is legit or not. So far I think I may just take it in to get documented like you had suggested.

  11. Cool! If you find it, I’d certainly appreciate it, but don’t go to much trouble. On another Note: I drove a 2019 GMC AT4 loaded with a 6.2. My goodness! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Hello, this is my very first pickup truck. Bought it off the lot last weekend with 20 km on the clock so I'm currently in the process of breaking it in.

  16. Gave fatty a quick bath and a quick clean of the front interior. One day I'll get a water softener so it doesn't spot so bad. Also put some RainX on the windows and mirrors. Used some RainX water repellent stuff on the front end too. The truck needs to be clayed, doubt that'll ever happen. Does this count as fitting in the garage? 25. I used to think that I wasn't having luck with the ladies because I didn't have a six pack. I worked out hard, lost weight and got a six pack. It would draw them much closer to me than before, but still no luck. So I gave up and instead went out and bought the ladies six packs....and guess what? IT WORKED! My luck turned for the better! Found out years later from my wife (and kid) that the it wasn't about my body, it was about my face. Moral of the story? I don't know, but I run both a catch can and CSS and it looks really cool in my engine bay. Run it if you want, don't run it if you don't want to...wall or no wall, cream or no cream...exercise your right to freedom! Of course that means others will exercise their right to say your catch can doesn't do anything and there isn't any benefit at all....and all that oil that collects in it overtime is from the oil fairy!

  26. I bought it. Leather will be added in a couple weeks (was hard to find one with leather and all the other packages I wanted). Tint is scheduled too, along with a Bakflip folding tonneau that was already ordered.

  27. Day I received my lightly used15 I had the leading edges of the hood and front fenders clear bra. Then I put on WT no-drill flaps. It already had Go-Rhino tubular step rails. Bought the pieces of plastic GM had for any trim level and applied. The box corner protectors and some black RTV to install them. I avoid gravel like the plague and never follow closer than 200 feet at highway speeds. I repaired the one chip it had in it when delivered. Wish I would have cleared the painted bumper. The truck is now closing in on 100K miles and I have repaired less than six chips over nearly three years. I have two small ones now that need attention. The front bumper looks like bird shot and will receive attention yet this summer. Even up close the body looks new. Chip repair has been very easy and I expect mainly because the paint is so hard. Protection is key. I had the paint measured when I had PDR done on the box sides for the factory 'wave' and it metered in +/- a hair either side of 3 mills. Yea, some areas like near the rear bumper were under 3! So thin that in that area it looks sort of orange instead of Victory Red. But boy does it shine. And why are you trading a truck with under 20K on the clock? Got money to throw away?

  30. Great looking rig, especially in person. The Chevy can be polarizing in pictures but having seen a bunch now I have really grown to love it. In my opinion, the best looking new pick up out there.

  31. I did mine without removing any bolts from either seat. From start to finish removing jump seat to console installed in just under 2 hours. I had previously installed then removed the same console from my RCSB so I had a feel for what I was doing, plus I've been working on cars for 47 years. The one thing I do recommend removing is the multi-function switch under the head unit. It makes installing the front console bracket so much easier ! Move both seats all of the way back and remove the front jumpseat bolts, then move both seats all of the way forward and remove the rear jumpseat bolts. Roll the jumpseat on it's nose. Reach under the passenger seat and pull the little piece of plastic that the jumpseat connectors are clipped to off of the studs it slips over then disconnect them. The rest is in Phil's video. Doing it my way there is no risk of scratching the door jambs with the seat tracks when removing the seats from the truck. You don't have to pick up and move the seats. And you don't disconnect the airbags and risk upsetting the airbag gods. I'm 60 years old, 5'10", and 185 # so no spring chicken. By the way, I used no power tools.
