  1. I noticed that in the upfitter bulletin for the X7 harness coming out of X61A that there are many many other pigtails that can be utilized (shown in yellow below) Does anyone have insight on what these other leads can be used for? (my GM15547108 connector came with leads in all 20 connector locations) AND Are the 4 pins we're connecting to the X50A (pin 1,4,14,20) the only pins that are "not connected" from the factory? (assuming people dont have the 9L7 RPO code)
  2. I believe this is what I just sent @pgamboa and @TinkeringFox a PM about.. guess I have a little more research to do.. picked up the X50A fuse block today for $60
  3. everything that heats up and cools down has an optimal operating temperature (even our own bodies).. Tstats are used to prevent crazy swings in operating temperature or to maintain a specific range.
  4. it can be done with a pre 2000 (arbitrary year) vehicle, now, there's no way to keep a vehicle "forever".. WAY too much electronic control in them and those devices will die eventually and when they do, you'll be swapping them from a wrecked vehicle because "new" parts will have been discontinued or 5X going rate..
  5. Ebay has the seats for around $200-$250 if I remember correctly, I've even found them on FB Marketplace locally.. I wonder if you can upgrade to a 2019 front jump seat that has the shoulder harness... @Frankielozano214 and @pgamboa are the experts on these mods.. Oh and CONGRATS on the twins!
  6. I added the Daystar 2.5 level kit (uses urethane spacers and bolt extenders instead of an aluminum spacer). no "spacer squeak" issues in my future and the stock ride is completely preserved.
  7. I'm just saying that dealerships are a commodity that separates their selves by their customer service. it's not a big deal if you need a car for 4 hours while they're running routine service, but, we had a Hyundai Santa Fe that the dealership had for 7 weeks rebuilding the engine and the entire thing cost me $0. The dealership even brought us the rental/loaner at work and took our vehicle for the service. Same family of dealerships here sell (GMC/Buick/Cheverolet/Hyundai/Mazda/VW/Acura/Mazerati/Kia/Porsche/Volvo) and every location is run exactly the same. customer always first. It's all a matter of what you're willing to pay for, hell would freeze over before I paid for a rental car while a dealership has my vehicle. My time is just too valuable to deal with bullshit like that.
  8. lol.. find another dealer. I've usually received a "fleet" vehicle while mine was being worked on, but when they've rented one for me, it's whatever Enterprise had to offer..
  9. I'm floored about how little technicians and parts guys know about vehicles.. (I never expect sales or service guys to know anything, so any little sprinkling of insight they have impresses me, lol)
  10. Do you have a part number? did you buy the parts online and take it to a dealership to install?
  11. I dont know anything about those services.. I dont pay for radio be it talk or music.. WAY WAY WAY too many free options out there..
  12. it looks like you've got apps there for you to choose from.. I'm not sure what the issue is. do you have a specific app that you want and are not able to find/download/etc? (I believe apps are different based on whether you have an iphone connected through carplay or android through android auto)
  13. Maybe Phil has a potential update on the "OEM factory Trailer Brake UPGRADE". I believe he said months ago that he and WAMS were looking at it together..
  14. I believe it just increases the LEDs in the array that turn on.. (guessing at numbers) Low beams have 5 on then high beams add another 3 for example..
  15. Does anyone have a GM(Brembo) / Wilwood size comparison?
  16. I was originally looking at converting my (2018 LT) DL8 mirrors to tow mirrors, but the harnesses, plus around $700 in mirrors and switching had me hesitant to pull the trigger. Luckily, I found a guy locally who had a set of 2015 Denali DL3 mirrors available for $100. (He had previously upgraded to OEM tow mirrors).. I committed to buy and he told me he also found the Denali DL3 door harnesses and he was going to throw them in “since he didn’t need them”.. Long story short, now, I’m going from DL8->DL3 and will have factory door harnesses. Phil, I would like to make sure the DL3s will function as intended (my truck doesn’t have memory option, but it does have dimming rear view mirror). I have the correct mirror adjust switch coming for the push button fold. What do I need from you in order to make sure the door harnesses receive proper signal from the BCM? Are you interested in my “old” LT harnesses that I’ll have left over after I swap out for the Denali door harnesses..?
  17. Cool! I have the 2018 LED headlights, so it’s just one reflector for me.
  18. but.. that's a $100 harness and we're all talking about $0.95 diodes... so there's that.. ..on a side note, why not just run a diode from the HIGH BEAMS to the LOW BEAMS so that when you turned the high beams on (and the BCM shuts off the low beams in the process) the BCM is overridden and keeps the LOWs on while the HIGHs are on.. (?)
  19. Chris, Are you guys working on potentially being able to add "factory towing brake controller" to trucks that do not come with the option installed? I've heard that factory brake controller runs through the BCM and just replacing the switch or modules will NOT grant an operable controller....
  20. have you read all the responses, someone earlier said they had it and it does allow that. I never really could understand the "dont lock the key fob in the truck" thing.. (especially with proximity lock options)..
  21. Installed Daystar Urethane leveling spacers this morning. I didn’t want aluminum spacers as I’ve read about creeking during turns. One of the local 4x4 shops here only installs the urethane spacers because they “just don’t get any returning customer issues when they use them”. The kit was $60 and I had all the tools already (much to my dismay).. The kit requires cutting the factory studs and threading on stud extensions.. (locktite, washers, new nuts) everything needed for the install is included.
  22. I would assume it can be pried open and a battery replaced. seems silly to have a thing like this that can run out of batteries then just sit there..
  23. it's totally sealed up, no chance of intrusion assuming it doesn't get pried on or the housing/pad cracked.. that's the same 3M automotive adhesive that is used on your rear tailgate bowtie. it'll hold up to car washes and harsh winters if the surface is cleaned properly first.
