  1. The holds once a vehicle is complete are frustrating. Hopefully these trucks get moving soon.
  2. Good looking stance there.
  3. I can relate to GM ordering. Actually, my 2020 AT4 went quote normally. Ordered and delivered maybe 9-10 weeks later. CT5-V Blackwing? Initially ordered 9/2021, hoping to finally take delivery this week
  4. I tried Android Auto once in my 2020 and have never used it since. "Clunky" is a good way to put it.
  5. Nice of you to post it. I have looked into ordering a AT4x or ZR2 but still can't get tow mirrors apparently. I have them on my 2020 and they are must have for my travel trailer.
  6. I have a manual transmission CT5-V Blackwing LT4 on order. Can't wait for it to arrive! Gm could never make enough Escalades with that motor to satisfy demand. Good for the General to get as many rumbling gas guzzlers on the road as possible before it is all EV.
  7. In the case of a CT5-V Blackwing, I can attest the wait can be much longer!
  8. I don't much understand the interest in the automated driving anyways. I would never use it. When I drive somewhere, I like to do the driving. Give me a decent audio system and that is all I need.
  9. I have them on my 2020 AT4 and use them every day. One of my favorite features.
  10. Agreed. Although the IRS calls that Capital Gains so hopefully the poster reports it correctly.
  11. My turn with this issue today. Went to start this morning, completely dead. No dome lights, no attempt to turn over. Tried jumping off a small car and no dice. Called roadside assist, they got it going after a few attempts. Took to dealer, they did the slow charge test on the battery, says it is in amazing condition and had no idea what could have drained it. Came to this thread, opened the hood and each bolt took several turns to tighten. If you own this truck, check your fuse box bolts to preempt the issue. Glad this did not happen to me camping. 8500 miles, BTW, and first issue.
  12. Well, as best as the photo shows, the lines on the bed are a little higher than the cab. Maybe just the lighting, but that is a common assembly issue on these trucks.
  13. Looks like the bed is off too. My AT4 has that assembly issue, but my bumper is at least square.
  14. The real disaster is this horrible design! WTF GM... you clip the metal roof so all water will shed directly to the top of the window? These are all destined to leak at some point.
  15. My 2020 AT4 came w/ the tow mirrors factory installed, I can't imagine the truck without them. I do tow, but even if I did not, love the extra glass for visibility. They are noticeably wider than the tow mirrors on my old 2015 HD 2500.
  16. 700 miles in, absolutely love this truck. The reviewers can bang on the interior all they want, it is very much my cup of tea. Vastly improved, the screen works great and everything is intuitive. I never had an issue with the older style seats, but the new side bolsters on this one are awesome. I was honestly sad to trade in my 2015 Duramax Denali 2500, it served me so well, but this 2020 has me wanting to drive everywhere.
  17. I'm not an expert, but my general opinion is a lot of the current diesels were never designed with the current emissions requirements in mind. The current Duramax LP5 is hopefully better than the LML my truck had, but I don't know enough about it to say. From what I read about the 3.0 I6 available in the 1500, it sounds like this motor is a ground up design. I never intended to keep mine out of warranty at all, if you have one of the many emissions systems fail or have a sensor problem, or God forbid the blown CP4 fuel pump, you're on the hook for some costly repairs. My truck had one related warranty repair in 62 months and 69K miles. A failed heater in the DEF tank, so they replaced the entire thing.
  18. Traded in my 2015 2500 Denali for a new 2020 AT4. Coming from that truck, I had to have good tow mirrors. These new ones are massive, they do not power extend but they sure provide awesome visibility down the sides. So far, I am loving this truck. Much improved interior over my 2015, infotainment is so much better. Long live The General!
  19. Funny, I went the other way. I just traded in my 2015 Denali Duramax 2500 for a 2020 6.2L AT4. My needs changed as I sold a business. Before, I needed payload capacity of 2500-3000 LBs. Now that I don't, I did not want to own and out of warranty diesel. Had I not sold my business, I would have traded for a 2020 AT4 2500. I'll still tow 5-7,000 LBs, and don't expect the 6.2L to be nearly as good. Also, much of towing is downhill, and the diesel exhaust brake has to be one of the greatest components of that platform. I live in Colorado and never needed my brakes going down any of our famous passes with the trailer in tow. My new job has a lot of stop and go traffic commuting. That is not what a 6.6L Duramax is good for. I have no regrets, and coming from that truck, the 6.2L is a real pleasure off the line. Still, if you need an HD truck, the Duramax is the best platform to go with.
