    Sad to report that I am not a member of this club right now. I say right now because if I see a 2019 or beyond that I like I will be back! Traded my Little truck and Corvette on a New Tahoe for my wife! I still have my HC though so don't feel to sorry for me! hahaha I have had 5 short box trucks in my life since 1979 and I am sure I will have another! They get a lot of looks and are very unique trucks for sure!

    IMO Sunroofs are the most over rated option. I have never even had mine open on my last three trucks. The Fords I have rode in with the full panorama roof are just plain stupid!

    I know they have shown 3/4 ton work truck reg cab pics. Anyone seed any 1/2 to ones? I remember last time in 2013 a member here photo shopped one for us reg cab guys!

    Hi Vinny,

     

    Did you take any pics of your cab light install as you were doing it? Other than the finished product? Did you use the factory harness or make your own? Where did you plug into for power?

    Yeah me too. It would be nice to have a new one but not for that much. Just keep watching Ebay, Craigslist, etc.

    If you go to a GM Parts website and price it out getting all the pieces you need, plus getting a custom harness from Mr. Gamboa, it ends up being on the north side of $900.00 bucks. And for me paying in Canadian pesos that is more like $1200.00. I think I am going to try the auto wreckers route my self.

    Hi Lucian, did you ever do this conversion? sle headlights to slt headlights. I am thinking of doing this on my 2014 sle, but I don't want the 16/17/18 lights. Ii want the 2014/15 slt lights.

      Do you have an idea on what it would take for them to work as original? And did you need to change any connectors to get them hooked up?

      if you wanna have them working like originals you`re gonna get messages on the dash like there are lights not working ,as well messages from the on star with the same problem .thats why I left the daylights on together with the LEDs .I tried the other way too, but I couldn't take it with the messages on the dash  every time and emails from on star to go fix my lights problem .So I choose to live the day lights the way it was and I added an extra circuit trough 2 relays for the day light leds and night light leds .

      I bought 2 pairs of original connectors and I build up a   plug-an-play  harness because didn't want to modify any wiring and loose my warranty.

    I hope trading these DL3 harnesses for your DIY kit is ok.

    Incredible Knowledge Base you have! Should show some of the tools you use as well for us greenhorns to see. For those pins connectors what type of crimping tool are you using. I know there are specific ones. I have a kit that I bought to do wiring on my Harley so imagine it is the same type of tool! Excellent Vid Phil!

    I think Jeremy if you look back in this post you will find what another guy did to go around your sport bar. It is going to take a bit of work doing some cutting if I remember correctly but it really looked good what the end result was.

    It seems like a factory one does not exist for our trucks. Would have to have an exhaust guy with some knowhow make one I guess!

    285-55-20 Toyos on stock wheels with 2" level lift No rubbing!

    Finally did a level lift on my 2014. These reg cab trucks are famous for the nose dive front end they have. 2" level on front and also added a set of 285-55-20 Toyo AT tires. I just can't believe it is the same truck when you stand beside it. The stance now makes it look like a lot more truck!

    Yeah I thought about that too! What would be the easiest is if they made the damn things in the other color of interiors like DuHa does. But I don't like the looks of the DuHa! The Husky has the nicest Shape IMO!

    I am looking at a Husky Underseat Bin, but they only come in black. Since I have a HC with the saddle interior I was wondering if you guys thought it would work to get it wrapped with a brownish color. Opinions please..............

    Those little bolt holes on the bottom wheel would be a biatch to clean out! Imo.
