Ac Question

looks like im going to be purchasing a new ac compressor for my 04 silverado. any tips or suggestions on where to purchase or a certain brand to look for? thanks for any help or suggestions.

I would go OEM and get a Delphi Compressor. Be sure to "flush the lines" before you put that new compressor on. Apparently when a compressor goes bad it dumps metal particles into the lines that ruin the new one if you don't clean them out. Do you know why your compressor went bad? I have an O4 Silverado and it's doing just fine.

i dont know really i have like 70000 miles on truck. the compressor has started gettting very noisy while the ac is on. turn it off and it quiets back down so that tells me its not a bearing problem. tryed a small can of oil didnt help. so if figure the alternative is to replace.
